The annual Turkish Fashion and Fabric Exhibition was well received as it kicked off in Earls Court, London this week. The exhibition presents the best examples of Turkish textiles with participation from over seventy Turkish textile companies many from Turkey’s commercial capital Istanbul. This is not the first exhibition of its kind, organisers of the Istanbul Textile and Apparel Exporters’ Association (ITKIB) have this year exhibited Turkish textiles in New York, Las Vegas, Tokyo, Shanghai and Paris.
Presenting some of the best works of textile firms as Akben who produce and export clothes for men, women and children to Europe and North America, the exhibition targeted mostly British clothes shops, and clothing companies. Textile firms such as Karma & Kokteyl, which specialise in woollen fabrics and blends, also participated at the exhibition presenting their latest autumn stock. Bursa-based Silk manufacturer Ipekler presented their latest women’s fashion wear and a part of the textile industry that dates back to the ancient Silk Route. The exhibition, which began on Tuesday the 3rd and came to a close on Wednesday the 4th of October inviting Londoners to part with their summer wear and enter the new autumn season with colourful enthusiasm. |
