Conservative Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne has announced two radical tax proposals last week. In his latest proposal, the shadow Chancellor promised to do away with the current taxes of the Labour government, which Mr Osbourne described as "burying bad news in the small print." Osbourne unveiled plans for a “Fair Fuel Stabiliser to protect families from the impact of future fuel price rises.” Under this radical proposal, when fuel prices go up, duty will be reduced; and when prices drop, duty will rise. George promised, "A Conservative Government will restore trust in the tax system so that businesses and individuals can work, save and invest with confidence."
