London Republican Turkish Party solidarity group (CTP) lent their full support to the Greek and Turkish Cypriot leaders this week for their efforts in the ongoing Cyprus peace process. London CTP Solidarity Association congratulated the Turkish Cypriot leader Mehmet Ali Talat and the Greek Cypriot leader Demetris Christofias following their meeting on July 1 after which a third joint declaration was issued. In a press release issued by the association the recent meeting between the two leaders was described as “an important and positive step that increases hope for finding a common vision for the future of Cyprus. “We appreciate the fact that both leaders are displaying bravery and courage in the face of those who do not want peace for both Cypriot comminities. “Both leaders have so far shown sensitivity and patience that is why London CTP Solidarity is giving full support for two leaders in this process.”
