For those of us that have always fancied the idea of packing our bags, waving bye to UK waters and sailing (or flying for that matter) to lands far and wide, or maybe just France, then keep this weekend free!  A Place in the Sun Live, the exhibition dedicated to those of us looking to buy abroad is here for another year.  Excel Exhibition Centre, London is the place and March 30th to April 1st are the hot dates for your diary.  The delights on offer this year include over 1,000 homes with prices starting from as little a £20,000. So, there’s something to suit all budgets and from 40 countries worldwide to see, you can’t afford to miss this show. 

And in addition to the Exhibition itself, you’ll find the new Emigration show where you can get essential information, help, guidance and advice on making the right move abroad.  The French Pavilion is also another great new addition, where you’ll be able to sample the delights of French cuisine, view some spectacular and character French homes and get a whole host of information on moving to France.

I’ve always fancied the idea of moving to France and living out my days in a French chateau giving cooking lessons and living off the fat of my land!  Hey, it’s a pipe dream, what can I say.  I know I’ll be heading straight for the French Pavilion only to find the chateau I’m looking for is far too expensive or dilapidated with way too much money needed to renovate!  I admire those poor souls that take the plunge and then find two years down the line they’re still at it, fixing something or another.  It’s definitely a labour of love…but well worth it in the end.
